Exploring worlds or building character stats
Two of the most noteable aspects of adventure or RPG gaming are the possibility of exploring worlds and developping a virtual character.
Modern games will provide ample supply of both but will tend to offer a large graphical representation of the virtual setting, whil classic games, limited in the latter sense, would offer more focus on the finding and developping of new skills, spells and other attributes.
The world could only be suggested, and that in a sense made for a more powerful gaming experience based on actively imagining the environment as opposed to passively watching it.
The characters were also suggested by vastly varying statistical attributes that painted the character’s most important characteristics.
