I got an email from one of my friends the other day, and it said that he was going to be getting married.  The message said that he was hoping that I would be able to find a Houston Photographer that would be able to take pictures at their wedding.  I wrote back, telling him that I could actually take pictures for them if he wanted me to.  He didn’t know that I went back to school and got a degree in photography after we all graduated.  I am waiting to hear back from him. I’ve been on the lookout for something really different to do with the youth group this Fall. I’d like to get them really engaged when school starts back up so that we can get off to a good start.

We’ve been discussing the possibility of doing a series of audio shows, with everyone helping to produce them. Not sure exactly what the range of subject matter will be. We may keep it pretty general about events here at the church or some of the material we’re studying. Might let the kids take it wherever they want. Give them a chance to be creative.

There’s always some danger in that, but I think we can guide without smothering.

When I was I kid I always thought that instruments were only played by those old people. I realized wrong I was when my preschool classmates asked me what instrument I would like to learn. It was then that I learned that most of my classmates have already their career in music. I asked my best friend if she could suggest an instrument that I could play. She immediately answered me that I should practice with the bagpipes just like my dad. It was not a bad idea. I learned fast how to make music with it. My dad was so proud of me. He immediately enrolled me to a music lesson class.
