In my recent poetry class I had a teacher that had me look at poetry in a way where it finally started making sense to me. Before this class I could honestly categorize myself as someone who was not a fan of the romantic world but now I really love the art and understand it so much better. With that being said I would like to use a bit of that romantic art form and look for thank you sayings from some of the more renown poets where she knew that I have worked hard to find just the right thing to say.

When I had to decide on a major in college, I wanted to make sure that I chose one that would actually get me a job. I had many friends with a degree and no job, and I didn’t want to end up like they did. I did some research, and I saw that paralegal salaries were on the rise and that they were needed more than ever. That information helped me to make my decision, and I adjusted my courses to fit the requirements. I earned my degree, and I was offered a job before I had graduated. This career is everything I had hoped for!

On one of my exmormon dad’s birthdays, we blindfolded him and took him around town, making him look like a fool. We ended up leading him to his favorite barbecue place and told him, “You need to duck right here! There’s a bar above your head!” And then there were also imaginary puddles and holes he had to jump over. My exmormon dad was a good sport and we laughed a ton that evening. Then we rewarded him with delicious food. We had the majority of our extended family there and I think we went mini-golfing afterwards. He loves to golf.
