I’m worried about my brother. He downloaded this program called Ares on the family computer and he’s been getting music and videos from some file sharing site. I’m concerned that this isn’t legal! Wasn’t there some big lawsuit involving people that were downloading music without paying for it? My brother is just a kid and you can’t tell him anything. He says if it were illegal, a big popular company wouldn’t be encouraging it. I’m not so sure. Can anyone help me? Is this an illegal practice? Could my parents be held liable if my brother gets caught getting free music through this site?
