Contrary to common lies that most aspiring wrestlers believe, training actually minimizes injury during the actual fight.  In order to be more conditioned and be a better wrestler, it will be necessary that you train well for strength, endurance, flexibility, agility and power among others.  You cannot do this well unless you have a wrestling strength and conditioning program that will guide you on what exercises you need to do, how to do them and the benefits of doing them.  You will never be an exceptional wrestler or even an ordinary athlete unless you get guidance how to train, that will be like running in the dark and expecting to reach where you are going.
