The New Balance 859 is a stability running shoe from the New Balance running shoe company which has all the stability of other stability shoes but without the bulkiness of most from other companies. It has responsive cushioning and controls in a secure, smooth riding high mileage shoe. Support overlays are sewn into the shoe’s upper and increase support by creating a snug fit. These overlays mean the shoe is as supportive in the upper as it is in the midsole and outsole so there is balance in the support all through the shoe. It is best suited to runners who severely overpronate.
