I have been hearing bloggers saying that Google buzz, the new networking site announced a few days ago by the internet giant will ultimately fail.  I tend to agree with this statement unless they can innovate the current social networking arena, and provide somethign of value.  Just 24 months ago Twitter launched, and is already one of the largest networks around.  Why did they succeed?  Innovation and simplicity.  Google may not have either in their latest attempt, with Buzz, to dethrone some of the large players like Myspace, Facebook and Twitter.  We will have to wait and see if this one goes the same route as Orkut has.
